Have you felt difficult because of the burdens you carried? Is the heavy burden pressing down on your shoulder? In the bible, the burdens are compared to sins or signify worries. We can’t solve our burdens of sin. We must come to Jesus Christ, who carried the sin of the world. When we can not sustain ourselves because of worries of life, we must come to Jesus who promised to give us rest, and hold on to his Word. Let’s look at what the Bible says about burdens.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
Matthew 11:28-29

Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.
Psalm 55:22

Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
Galatians 6:2

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
1 Peter 5:6-7

My guilt has overwhelmed me like a burden too heavy to bear.
Psalm 38:4

Psa 81:6

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
Philippians 4:6

So you must be careful to do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach. They tie up heavy, cumbersome loads and put them on other people’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them.
