Jesus the Peacemaker - What does it mean?

Jesus said “Blessed are the peacemaker, For they shall be called sons of God (Matthew 5:9 NKJV).” In other words, we can not be blessed if we are not the peacemakers.

Jesus the Peacemaker  - What does it mean?

Reconciliation by Jesus with God

Jesus became the peacemakers between God and us by shedding his blood and death. “For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life (Romans 5:10 NKJV).”

This was given to citizens of the Kingdom of God. We were enemies of God because of our sins but brought near to Him by His Son through his reconciliation. We became the citizens of the Kingdom of God by the grace of God.

The apostle Paul showed the example of peacemakers and urged us to “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body (Colossians 3:15 NKJV).”
