After Solomon completed the temple of God, he offered a prayer of dedication. He gave praise to God’s faithfulness and completeness, and prayed for his people. He confessed his finiteness in front of the infinite God. “But will God really dwell on earth with humans? The heavens, even the highest heavens, cannot contain you. How much less this temple I have built!” (2 Chronicles 6:18)  He prayed humbly before God to forgive his people even if they commit sins. How thankful it is that we have our God who listens to our prayer and pleas!
