The Sermons and Articles of F.B. Meyer: A Collection of over 450 Readings
Frederick Meyer (1847 - 1929) Studied theology at Regent's Park College in London and joined what was known as the Higher Life movement. He become a preacher, focusing on drunkenness, prostitution and other forms of immoral behavior. He was highly successful and is thought to have shuttered hundreds of prostitution houses and bars.

In the early 1870s he met the Evangelist Dwight L. Moody in New York City. The two become close friends and Moody invited Meyer to preach and minister in the United States.

In addition to his preaching, Meyer wrote over seventy-five books, including Christian biographies, and Biblical commentaries. He was also well known for his pastoral work, greatly expanding the churches he ministered in the London area. Upon his death The Daily Telegraph of London, described him as "The Archbishop of the Free Churches".
