Gloria, was the first fully automated spacecraft ever built. After 1200 years of service, she is starting to fail. She was attacked by pirates, her control module separated from her cargo and body, and flung into uncharted space. She landed on a remote planet, then genetically engineered man and kick started civilization. The crew was rescued but Gloria was not. Her creation continues to grow.
