Proverbs 8:1 . Doth not Wisdom cry? This woman is the reverse of the harlot, in the preseding chapter. She represents true religion clothed in every form of grace and glory: Christ, the Word and Wisdom of God. See on chap. 3. Proverbs 8:3 . She crieth at the gates, at the entry of the city.
