Verse 28
1Ki 20:28 And there came a man of God, and spake unto the king of Israel, and said, Thus saith the LORD, Because the Syrians have said, The LORD [is] God of the hills, but he [is] not God of the valleys, therefore will I deliver all this great multitude into thine hand, and ye shall know that I [am] the LORD.
Ver. 28. And there came a man of God. ] Or, There had come a man of God and had spoken unto the king of Israel.
Therefore I will deliver. ] Here the Lord wrought for his own great name, as he doth oft. See Ezekiel 20:8 ; Ezekiel 20:14 ; Ezekiel 20:22 ; Ezekiel 20:24 . Our jealous God hateth to be robbed of his glory, even by ignorant pagans, whose tongues might seem no slander.
