Jeremiah 23:15

Jer 23:15 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the prophets; Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water of gall: for from the prophets of Jerusalem is profaneness gone forth into all the land.

Ver. 15. I will feed them with wormwood, ] a i.e., I will slay them with most bitter and grievous kinds of deaths. See Jeremiah 8:14 ; Jeremiah 9:15 .

For from the prophets of Jerusalem is profaneness gone forth into all the land. ] Their place adding two wings to their sin - viz., Example and scandal, whereby it soareth higher and flieth much further. See Jeremiah 23:11 .
