Mark 9:34

34 But they held their peace: for by the way they had disputed among themselves, who should be the greatest.

Ver. 34. Who should be the greatest ] viz. In Christ’s earthly kingdom, in the which they vainly dreamt of a distribution of honours and offices, as once in the days of David and Solomon.
