John 1:50

49 Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.

50 Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these.

Ver. 50. Thou shalt see greater things ] Strange sights, marvellous light, matchless mysteries, multifarious wisdom, even the wisdom of God in a mystery: heaven opened, and angels of God ascending and descending, John 1:51 , and curiously prying 1Pe 1:12 into that great mystery of godliness, God manifested in the flesh, &c.
