Verse 17
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Not to condemn the world ] Unless it be by accident, because they will not be saved; they will not have heaven upon Christ’s terms, they will not part with their fat and sweet (with the vine in Jotham’s parable, Jdg 9:13 ), no, not for a kingdom; they will not be constrained to live happily, reign eternally. a
