John 4:15

15 The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.

Ver. 15. Sir, give me this water ] We would all have immortality, but here on earth. Some think she jeers our Saviour here; who therefore in the next words arouseth her conscience.
