John 4:25

25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.

Ver. 25. I know that Messias, &c. ] As who should say, we are not altogether so ignorant as you would make us,John 4:23; John 4:23 . A dead woman must have four men to carry her out, as the proverb is: we are apt to think our penny good silver.
