John 4:47

47 When he heard that Jesus was come out of Judaea into Galilee, he went unto him, and besought him that he would come down, and heal his son: for he was at the point of death.

Ver. 47. Besought him that he would, &c. ] Even Darius, king of Persia, can give order for prayers to be made at Jerusalem for the "king’s life and his sons," Ezra 6:10 , when he had seen various of his children die before him, as Ctesias relateth.
