Verse 32
32 That the saying of Jesus might be fulfilled, which he spake, signifying what death he should die.
Ver. 32. Signifying what death he should die ] This shows that the Jews had power to put to death, but by a providence he was brought to Pilate, that according to the manner of the Romans he might be crucified; that kind of death being not, otherwise, in use among the Jews. Hence our Lord is said to have been crucified at Rome, Revelation 11:8 .
