Verse 16
16 Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
Ver. 16. Or else I will come unto thee ] He was in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks before. But when he comes to correct, he comes out of his place,Isaiah 26:21; Isaiah 26:21 , and it is a motion that he hath no such mind to, Lamentations 3:33 , it is to do his work, his strange work, Isaiah 28:21 .
With the sword of my mouth ] With fearful threatenings, terrible executions, having vengeance in readiness for the disobedient,1 Corinthians 10:6; 1 Corinthians 10:6 . Elisha had his sword as well as Jehu and Hazael theirs, 1 Kings 19:17 . See Hosea 6:5 ; Jeremiah 1:10 ; Isaiah 11:4 .
