Introduction
A.M. 4066. A.D. 62.
In this chapter, after a polite address to King Agrippa, Acts 26:1-3 ,
(1,) Paul gives an account of his Hebrew extraction, Pharisaical profession, belief of the resurrection of the dead, and his inveterate rage against Christ and his followers, Acts 26:4-11 .
(2,) He relates the manner of his conversion, and call to the apostleship among the Gentiles for their salvation, and his preaching Christ afterward, in agreement with the Old Testament predictions, Acts 26:12-23 .
(3,) Upon hearing this account, Festus pronounces him mad; but Paul maintains, in a modest appeal to Agrippa, that he speaks the words of truth and soberness, Acts 26:24-26 .
(4,) Agrippa is almost persuaded to be a Christian, and, together with Festus, declares Paul innocent, Acts 26:27-32 .
