Philippians 1:26 - Exposition

That your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ for me by my coming to you again . Glorying or boasting ( καύχημα ), not rejoicing. Perhaps rather, as Meyer," That the matter in which you have to glory [ i.e. the bliss in which you rejoice as Christians] may increase abundantly in Christ Jesus [as the element or sphere of the glorying] in me [as the instrument or cause]."
