Verse 12
For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.
For we presume not — A strong irony.
To equal ourselves — As partners of the same office.
Or to compare ourselves — As partakers of the same labour.
They among themselves limiting themselves — Choosing and limiting their provinces according to their own fancy.
