14. We took sweet counsel together Their mutual counsel on public affairs had been made sweet by friendship and confidence. The word “counsel” is rendered secret, secret counsel, Psalms 25:14; Psalms 64:2; Proverbs 3:32. Thus far their personal and political life had been blended.
