A testimonial given to a priest when traveling that he is in good standing, with the accompanying request that he be permitted to say Mass. Secular priests receive these from their ordinaries; religious from their superiors; orientals, traveling through Latin jurisdictions, from the Congregation for the Oriental Church. These testimonials should be of recent origin.
