Organization in London, existing for the purpose of encouraging spiritual, artistic, and social intercourse among Catholics connected with the theatrical profession, thus rendering service to them and exercising a beneficial influence on the stage. The guild's ambitions include the making of an international library of Christian dramatic literature; the private production of appropriate plays; and eventually the possession of its own theater. Monthly discussions as well as frequent social gatherings are held, and once a year an "Actors' Mass" is said at the church of Corpus Christi, Maiden Lane. Membership is open to all Catholics; active members belong professionally to the theater and allied arts; associate members are those who, while not qualified for active membership, share the wish to foster the aspirations of the guild.

It has brief articles also on historical events and personages, on the Old Testament and New, and on popes, prelates, priests, men and women of distinction, showing what the Church has done for civilization and correcting many errors which have hitherto passed for history.Wikipedia
