Virgin, born 1224, Queen of Poland, died Sandeck, Poland, 1292. She was the daughter of King Bela IV, and niece of Saint Elizabeth of Hungary. In 1239 she married Boleslaus II, with whom she lived in voluntary chastity, and after his death entered the Poor Clare convent at Sandeck, which she had founded. Patroness of Poland and Lithuania.
