Antipope, 768. An ordinary priest, he was elected secretly by a Lombard priest, Waldipert, and a few Romans, in opposition to Pope Stephen IV (III). He was condemned while celebrating at a banquet in the Lateran and at once withdrew to the Monastery of Saint Vitus on the Esquiline, whence he had been summoned.
