Nothing can reflect greater disgrace on a clergyman if a parish, than to receive the emolument without ever visiting his parishioners, and being unconcerned for the welfare of their souls; yet this has been a reigning evil in our land, and proves that there are too many who care little about the flock, so that they may but live at ease.
