SECU . A place name which appears only in the late narrative of 1 Samuel 19:22 in connexion with Ramah, Samuel’s home, and especially with the ‘great cistern’ or ‘well of the threshing-floor.’ Perhaps the name represents a word in the original best rendered ‘the height,’ referring to the highest part of the town of Ramah.
