ZIZ . The ascent of Ziz is mentioned in 2 Chronicles 20:16 as the way by which the allied Moabites, Ammonites, and Meunim made their way up from En-gedi to attack Jehoshaphat at Jerusalem. It has been identified as an ascent near En-gedi from the plain of the Dead Sea to the tableland of Judah. The Roman road from En-gedi to Jerusalem followed this track.
