One of the encampments of the children of Israel, near the head of the gulf of Akaba. It was where Solomon had a navy of ships and where the ships of Jehoshaphat were broken. Numbers 33:35,36; Deuteronomy 2:8; 1 Kings 9:26; 1 Kings 22:48; 2 Chronicles 8:17; 2 Chronicles 20:36 . Probably the same as Ain el Ghudyan, now ten miles up the dry bed of the Arabah, the sea having receded.
