He then began his career of counsellor, under divine direction, which eventually won him the title of "the king's Beer," 2 Samuel 24:11; 2 Samuel 24:13; 1 Chronicles 21:9. In Hezekiah's day he was remembered. 2 Chronicles 29:25.
