Grass. There are several Hebrew words which are translated "grass" in our version; but the translation is not uniform. Once, Numbers 11:5, the word ordinarily translated "grass" is rendered "leeks." That which grows upon the flattened terraces of eastern house-tops is very soon withered by the scorching rays of the sun. 2 Kings 19:26; Psalms 90:5-6; Psalms 129:6; Isaiah 40:6-8; 1 Peter 1:24.
