Mountain of The Am'orites. Specifically mentioned Deuteronomy 1:19-20, compare Deuteronomy 1:44. It seems to be the range which rises abruptly from the plateau of et-Tih, south of Judea, running from a little south of west to north of east, and of which the extremities are the Jebel Araif en-Nakah. Westward and the Jebel el-Mukrah, eastward, and from which line, the country continues, all the way to Hebron.
