lit., "two-mouthed" (dis, and stoma, "a mouth"), was used of rivers and branching roads; in the NT of swords, Hebrews 4:12; Revelation 1:16; 2:12 , RV, "two-edged (AV, "with two edges"). In the Sept., Judges 3:16; Psalm 149:6; Proverbs 5:4 .
