Cademann, Johann Rudolph a German Lutheran theologian, son of Johann Georg, pursued his studies at Leipsic, where he took, in 1699, his degrees in theology. In 1708 he was appointed deacon at Naumburg, and in 1717 superintendent at Pegau, where he remained until his death, which occurred about 1720. He wrote Disput. de Schola Libertinorum, ex Act. Ap. John McClintock was born October 27, 1814 in Philadelphia to Irish immigrants, John and Martha McClintock. He began as a clerk in his father's store, and then became a bookkeeper in the Methodist Book Concern in New York. Here he converted to Methodism and considered joining the ministry.
