Eanbald (or Enbald).
(1) The pupil and successor of Albert in the archiepiscopal see of York, A.D. 782. He was very vigorous in the administration of his diocese, and died at a monastery called Etlete (or Edete), August 10, 796.
(2) Called also Heantbald, succeeded the, foregoing as archbishop of York, and his history is given with considerable detail by Alcuin. He appears to have died A.D. 812.

John McClintock was born October 27, 1814 in Philadelphia to Irish immigrants, John and Martha McClintock. He began as a clerk in his father's store, and then became a bookkeeper in the Methodist Book Concern in New York. Here he converted to Methodism and considered joining the ministry. McClintock entered the University of Pennsylvania in 1832 and graduated with high honors three years later.
