35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. Ver. 35. I am that bread of life ] Christ, passing by that bitter scoff of theirs, proceeds to teach them. John Trapp Complete Commentary - John 6:39

39 And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. Ver. 39. I should raise it up again ] By virtue of the union, a substance is preserved, and shall be raised up again to glory; yea, "the dead in Christ shall rise first," 1 Thessalonians 4:16 , by virtue derived from Christ’s resurrection, and by the mighty influence thereof.
