D. The final benediction 22:21This benediction wishes God’s enabling grace on all who read the book."As in revelation, so in history: grace shall have the last word!" Evidently John now quoted Jesus’ promise to come soon. Christ’s promise to come soon was His response to the prayers of the Spirit, the bride, and the faithful hearers (Revelation 22:17). "He who testifies to these things" is Jesus. The things in view are the words of Jesus in Revelation 22:12-19, but beyond that everything in this book (cf. Revelation 1:2).
