28:41 And thou shalt put them upon Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him; and shalt anoint them, and {q} consecrate them, and sanctify them, that they may minister unto me in the priest’s office.(q) Or "fill their hands", by giving them things to offer and therefore admit them to their office. read more
GARMENTS FOR THE PRIESTS (vs.1-4) Aaron and his four sons were the priestly family, thus separated from the rest of Israel for this sacred purpose. This select priesthood is a contrast to the New Testament order, for today all true believers are included in the priesthood (1 Peter 2:5). But Aaron, the high priest, is typical of Christ, our Great High Priest, and his sons are typical of believers today in their priestly character.
