The meaning would then be the same, but the analogy of 1 Corinthians 10:4 and of Hebrews 11:26 is convincing proof that Christ is the true reading. 11. For ensamples Greek, typically; that is, illustratively. The world World in the Greek, here, is plural, making ends of the worlds. The word signifies age or dispensation; implying a cycle of time in which some great round of Providence is accomplished.
