Fifteen thousand The remnant of the one hundred and thirty-five thousand that had spread themselves like locusts in the plains of Israel. A hundred and twenty thousand had either killed themselves in the suicidal night encounter, (Judges 8:22,) or had fallen before the victorious Israelites.
