Teach you all things… bring… to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said The Paraclete should teach and remind; and the subject both of this teaching and reminding should be all things whatsoever I have said. 25. These things have I spoken In these two verses, 25 and 26, we seem to have a summary and close of the train of thought. Glancing the mind’s eye over his own discourse, Jesus presents it as a whole as uttered by himself being yet present. His personal presence and his living voice were yet with them, and he now places this personal teaching in preparatory contrast with that of the spiritual Paraclete whom the Father will send. read more
