We live in an age where western-style culture has permeated our thinking of what is normal for a Christian. The philosophy of our age is in thinking "What is in it for me?" God's message is not that at all, and any ministry that projects such thinking is adding to the superficial type experience some professing Christians find themselves.
2. The MUST of REPENTANCE and the NEW BIRTH
Jesus made it clear that men must repent Luke 13:1-5, and the Apostle Paul uttered the same in Acts 17: 22-31 and 20:20-21. It certainly was the burden of Peter. II Peter 3:9. Repentance is one of the lost messages of the church, but it is not lost in the mind of God. Repentance, forgiveness of sins, and faith in Christ must be proclaimed. Luke 24:27
St. John 3 and II Corinthians 5:15-17 are not merely a nice story and words to be enjoyed, but rather essential ingredients to walking with God. We must not take anyone's Christian experience for granted, but make sure we have been born from on high and have passed from spiritual death into spiritual life. John 5:24
