If we choose to live and teach that we must keep and uphold the law that Christ clearly fulfilled, then what do those actions say about our faith? 
 
This is another song from the archives, though it was recorded over a decade ago, the message still remains. Many who misunderstand the old and new covenant relationship point to James chapter 2 as an indication that works are required for salvation and try to relate this to keeping the old covenant law. 
 
This song deals with the concept that actions naturally flow out of our faith and where we have placed our faith. Abraham believed what God said and he acted on it, if we believe what God says regarding His new covenant and the law being fulfilled in Christ, then we will live and act based on the covenant of grace. This includes what we teach regarding the message of grace in the new covenant in relation to the law of the old.

Re-Verse: "Deeds of Faith" Inspired by James 2: 17-18

In 2 Corinthians Chapter 3 Paul is explaining the contrast of fading glory from the ministry of the old covenant (law) with the everlasting glory found in the new covenant (Christ). 
 
He explains how the veil remains and hearts remain hardened when the law is read. This isn't simply talking about the act of reading, but really about the upholding, study, and overall meditation and adherence to the law without understanding its purpose of pointing to Christ, through whom we have a much more excellent covenant. It is important to understand no one gains this knowledge on their own, we can't remove our own veil, only through Christ can we gain proper understanding and see the full glory in the new covenant.

The Veil Remains When Reading The Law? | 2 Corinthians 3:14

Too many times Christians are promoting their good deads or helping of others because of the wrong motives. When giving or helping it should be done unto the Lord, not for the praise of people who may see your good deeds. We have to keep our motives in check as God is all about looking at our heart and motives behind our actions.

Jesus Said Call No Man Rabbi Or Father? Matthew 23:8-10

God established the Sabbath as a day of rest or "ceasing" from labor and works. Many use this as a day of worship, generally on the "seventh day" or Saturday, while some Christians refer to it as Sunday. However, the Sabbath was not implemented as a day of worship but as a day of rest and for a specific reason, the purpose behind the Sabbath was to point to the finished work of Christ and the fact that believers in Christ no longer have to work, toil, or labor under the Mosaic Law in efforts to make themselves right with God. Christ makes us right with God, and this is why He and He alone is our Sabbath.
