What's the Big Deal with Covenants?

Roman is a bit confused when it comes to true freedom. A lot of people think that being a christian is chained up by all these rules and that true freedom means getting to do what you want. The truth is that it’s just the opposite. When a person sins, they become the servant of those sins. If they develop a habit of lying, they find it difficult to stop. Sin is designed to ensnare people, not free them. A Christian who makes Jesus their lord can be free from harmful addictions, and the things they allow do not destroy them. Making Jesus the lord of our life is the only thing that sets people free.
