Day 51
Questions:
1. What did King Nebuchadnezzar do to the people of Judah and to the temple in Jerusalem?
2. This was a terrible disaster that could have been avoided. Consider what good their being Hebrews, their religiosity and their confidence in
having the temple building located in Jerusalem did for them. Does God live in a building?
3. God promised to be faithful to the Hebrews, His chosen people, but each
generation had to confirm this special relationship by honoring and obeying Him. They did not do this, and God had to punish them severely. He used pagans to do it.
4. What does this story tell us about God's nature and His word?
5. God was depending upon the Hebrews to be the nation out of which His
Savior would come. Given this situation, what do you think God will do
next?
