In his continuing confrontation with the Pharisees, Jesus heals a man who is possessed by evil and as a result is blind and mute. The irony is that it is the Pharisees are also possessed by a darkness that blinds them to God and prevents them from speaking the truth. Their deeper motives blind them to the truth that would turn their worlds upside down, heal them, and set them free. Are we open to having God turn our worlds upside down?
