THE PASSOVER WITH THE DISCIPLES Matthew 26:17-30 Jesus Last Supper
Passover with the King - Matthew 26:17-30 - APRIL 10, 2022 (PALM SUNDAY)
LESSON AIM: To emphasize what Jesus did and said at the last supper.

And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where you are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.” (Exodus 12:13)
Worship is important enough that we should make careful preparations for it (Matthew 26:17-19).
Let us never assume we cannot be tempted to betray Jesus; to make this assumption is to invite the temptation (Matthew 26:20-22; I Corinthians 10:12).
The sovereign LORD can use even the most egregious acts to accomplish His good purposes (Matthew 26:23-25; Genesis 50:20).
Only those who partake of Jesus Christ through faith enjoy the benefits of His substitutionary death (Matthew 26:26-28).
The observance of the LORD’s Supper is not only to remind us of His death, but also to remind us that He is coming back one day (Matthew 26:29-30; I Corinthians 11:26).

“But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom” (Matthew 26:29).
