In these verses of Scripture we see that Saul Israel's first anointed King, has a subtle unwillingness from the beginning to be a man that God was calling him to be.

Saul struggles to receive the honor that God placed upon him. Saul at the point of being brought out before Israel and announced as King, is hiding [1 Samuel 10:17 -24]. His hiding is similar to Adam and Eve's hiding in the garden, as a result of shame.

It is only when we know our true identity in Christ, the true anointed King that we can come out into the open, and be the people that God is calling us to be, without the fear of failure, and without the fear of being put to shame.
