Genesis 3:15
And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel."

Genesis is a fascinating book. We red the events on how the heaven and the earth was made and also how man was being created by God. We also study that man has expirienced an intimate fellowship and relationship with God before they had not sinned. They are being placed in a magnificent garden and they are complete.

After being tempted by the serpent in the garden, God was so angry with Adam and Eve.Then, God cursed them and also the serpent.

This verse is the second curse of God to the serpent saying, "And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel."

Twice was the serpent has been condemned. God cursed first his "physical," that's why the serpent crawls and eat dust (Gen.3:14) and second curse is his "spiritual" ( Gen.3:15).

Now, what is "Enmity?" Enmity is hostility, hatred, bitterness and God will put that to the serpent (Satan) and to the Woman (Eve).

Why would God, put enmity to the serpent and to the woman? "Because the offspring of the woman will one day crushed the head of the serpent and also to strike his heel."

So, what does it mean to "crush you head" and "strike his heel?" This is the "fist Gospel" and Gospel means "Good News." This is the very first good news to us. Jesus will come in this earth to crushed Satan's head. Satan, could only "bruise or strike" Christ's heel and that will cause him to suffer. Surely, Jesus will destroy Satan with a fatal blow.

What do you mean by between, "your offspring (seed)" and "her offspring?" The word, "your seed" refers to Satan and to the unbelievers, who are called the devil's children in Jn.8:44. And "her seed (offspring)," refers to Christ, a descendant of Eve and those in Him, the believers, which all began in the garden.

In the midst of the curse passage, a message of hope shone forth-the woman's offspring called "He" is referring to "Christ."

Apostle Paul, in a passage strongly reminiscent of Chapter 3, encouraged the believers in Rome, and he says, " and the God of peace will crush satan under your feet" (Rom.16:20).

Believers, should recognize that they will participate in the crushing of Satan because, along with the Savior and because of His finished work on the cross, they also are of the woman's seed. Heb.2:14-15 and Rev.20:10 these are the passages of the destruction of Satan.

What do this passage means to my life? If you are a believer of Christ, you are now living a victorious life because of our Lord Jesus. But if not, maybe this is your time to believe in Him because Jesus is truly Lord and He is our saviour and our eternal life. In Him we live and die. All glory and all honor belongs only to our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen
