Welcome to Calvary's Online Campus!

Most people know the miracle: Jesus feeds 5,000 men (plus women and children) with just five loaves and two fish, but there is a hidden lesson in the loaves that most sermons never touch — a lesson about compassion, faith, God’s provision, and how Jesus turns our “not enough” into “more than enough” when we place it in His hands. In this message, Pastor Robert uncovers the deeper meaning behind one of the most famous miracles in the Bible and shows why this passage in Mark 6 is not just about bread — it’s about the heart of the Shepherd and how He wants to work through you today.

Key Insights:
1. Why Jesus intentionally led the disciples into an “impossible” situation.

2. The shocking difference between how the disciples saw the crowd (“Send them away”) and how Jesus saw them (“Sheep without a shepherd”).

3. The gut-level Greek word for “moved with compassion” that reveals the heart of God.

4. Why Jesus asked, “How many loaves do you have? Go and see.” — and what He’s asking you today.

5. The beautiful connection to Psalm 23’s “green pastures” hidden in the text.

6. How Jesus “kept giving” (imperfect tense in Greek) — the miracle never stopped while the disciples kept returning to Him.

7. Why there were exactly 12 baskets of leftovers — one for every doubting disciple.

8. The powerful Hudson Taylor quote: “God’s work done in God’s way will never lack God’s supply.”

9. How this miracle foreshadows the Last Supper and the cross: taken → blessed → broken → given

J.C. Ryle said it best: “Nothing is too hard for the Lord. The things which seem impossible to men are simple and easy with Christ.” If you’ve ever felt like your resources, time, energy, or faith are too small for the need in front of you — this message is for you. Jesus still says today: “You give them something to eat.”

We pray that you are blessed by the message!
