‘And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick and healed them.’ Their ministry was accompanied by successful acts of power. Evil spirits were cast out, and as well as that they healed the sick by the anointing with oil (compare James 5:14 where it is ‘in the Name of the Lord’).
